North Branch Susquehanna River Water Trail
The Endless Mountains Heritage Region serves as the official Water Trail Manager for the North Branch of the Susquehanna River, as designated National Recreation Trail of the National Park Service since 2009. It is also part of the Pennsylvania Water Trail System coordinated by the PA Fish & Boat Commission.
Portions of the NBSRWT flow through three counties in the EMHR: Susquehanna, Bradford, and Wyoming. EMHR serves as the regional partnership agency with the PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources and works in cooperation with the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership to plan and promote activities from the river's headwaters at Otsego Lake near Cooperstown, NY to its confluence with the West Branch Susquehanna River at Sunbury.
Our shared goal is to connect communities and enrich lives through enhanced recreation, healthy living, economic prosperity and and environmental stewardship.
The North Branch Water Trail Map & Guide is currently being updated by EMHR and will soon be available for purchase at approved vendors. To view stories and photos posted by North Branch Water Trail fans, follow the Susquehanna River North Branch Water Trail on Facebook.
