The Penn State Extension of the Endless Mountains and the Endless Mountains Heritage Region are partnering to host yet another community cleanup event in Nicholson Borough of Wyoming County and we’re asking for your help!
We’ll be meeting on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Nicholson Borough Hall (402 Main Street, Nicholson. We plan to work until approximately 4 p.m. and refreshments will be provided to volunteers by the Nicholson First Presbyterian Church.
We are asking participants to comb the shores of Martin’s Creek and streets around the Borough for litter. Trash bags, gloves, and orange vests will be provided through PennDOT, but feel free to bring some to contribute as well! Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing appropriate for weather predictions. If you are interested in volunteering, you can register for free online or by calling (570) 265-1528, as we would like to have an accurate headcount for the refreshments.
A special thank you to Coterra Energy for providing financial support and volunteers for the event as well as WM Intellectual Property Holdings, L.L.C. for providing the dumpster for trash removal!
