SUMMARY:EMHR’s Women on the Water Sojourn
DESCRIPTION:Join Waitlist\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				** Registration is currently full.  If interested\, please join the waitlist. \nJuly 31-August 2 \nCalling all women who love exploring new hobbies and spending time outdoors! EndlessMountains Heritage Region is partnering with Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals andEndless Mountains Outfitters to present an exciting new event opportunity designed just forwomen. Women on the Water is a three-day paddling experience featuring engaging andeducational workshops that inspire participants while highlighting conservation efforts andoutdoor resources. \nCamping accommodations each night will be at Camp Lackawanna\, located at 1219Vosburg-Neck Road\, Tunkhannock\, PA 18657 at Merrill Lodge. There will be shared cabinswith up to 10 bunks available for an extra fee or you can bring your own tent and camp inthe field. Participants also have the option to meet at Camp Lackawanna the eveningbefore the first day’s paddle (Thursday\, July 30) to set up their camp and settle in before anearly start the next morning. Thursday’s welcome activity will feature a night hike withKelley Stewart from Keystone College. Each morning will offer a wake-up yoga class to startyour day with stretches before heading to the Susquehanna River. \nWorkshops to look forward to: Wilderness survival\, herbalism\, essential oils\, foraging\, foodpreservation\, how to plan a trip\, fishing\, a presentation by Daughters of the AmericanRevolution Tunkhannock Chapter\, and more! This event will also feature keynote speakersto be announced at a later date. \nThe cost for the event will include guided trip\, insurance\, 3 meals for each days\, workshops throughout the weekend\, a commemorative event T-shirt\, and other take home goodies. Kayak rental is available for an additional cost. Participants must be at least 16 years old. SUMMARY:EMHR’s Small Business Support Hikes: Salt Springs Park
DESCRIPTION:Register\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				August 15-16\, 2026 \nPack your bags for Endless Mountains Heritage Region’s second overnight hiking event\, at Salt Springs Park in Susquehanna County on Saturday and Sunday\, August 15 and 16! This event will host two guided hiking events on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday\, participants will explore the eastern portion of Salt Springs Park\, with about 5 miles of combined trails\, with moderate incline and views of waterfalls on the way back to the starting point. Sunday’s hike will explore the western portion of the park\, with about 3 ½ miles of combined trails. \nParticipants should meet at Salt Springs State Park’s main park office\, also known as thehistoric Wheaton House at 2305 Salt Springs Rd\, Montrose\, PA 18801 (GPS coordinates: 41.9119\, -75.86553)\, on Saturday by 11 a.m. to sign in. When preparing for this event\, hikers should wear appropriate clothing for the weather and footwear (hiking shoes or boots). It is also important to remember a sufficient supply of water for the duration of both days\, though a refill station will be available Saturday just in case. Any snacks or lunch desired for refueling on the trail will need to be brought by the participant. \nCamping for this event is optional. For those planning to camp\, overnight supplies are also needed to camp: a tent\, sleeping bag\, flashlights\, etc. EMHR will provide a detailed packing list for all participants before the event. \nEMHR would like to thank our partners for this event\, Susquehanna County Historical Society\, who will provide an educational presentation with the theme of Native American and early white settler history for Susquehanna County\, in honor of America250. \nRegistration costs for this event will be $15\, which will cover the cost of dinner and helpsupport Anthony’s Restaurant in Montrose\, along with a donation to Salt Springs Park\,which is managed completely by the Friends of Salt Springs Park and volunteers.
