EMHR’s Earth Day Hike at Vosburg Neck State Park

Join Endless Mountains Heritage Region and Vosburg Neck State Park to celebrate Earth
Day and Arbor Day at Vosburg Neck! The event is on Saturday, April 25, with check-in by 1
p.m. for the hike at 470 Vosburg Rd, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.

Vosburg Neck is home to seven miles of hiking trails, and this event will cover half of them
by hiking the Vista Trail while combining the Howlin’Down and Whitetail trails, which will be
about 4 miles total. Along the way, DCNR Environmental Educational Specialist Amanda
Kiernan will talk about the different types of trees located throughout the park. Please take
note that the trail could be muddy at this time of year. Participants are encouraged to wear
sensible shoes (hiking boots or comfortable sneakers) and dress for the weather. Be sure to
bring enough water for the duration of the hike.

Though this event is free and open to the public, EMHR asks that if you plan to attend,
please register by Thursday, April 23, for planning purposes.
