Our new 25th Anniversary brochures are in as well as our event t-shirts for the EMHR`s 25th Anniversary and River of the Year Sojourn! Over 45 paddlers will join us throughout the week during our trip from Sayre to Shickshinny! While the river could be a bit higher, we are still so excited for this great event and we`d like to send out a huge thank you to our water trail team, including @endlessmountainoutfitters, Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals, and Five Mountain Outfitters Co. for all their help and expertise! Let`s make it a great trip! #EMHR #25Years #AnniversaryAndRiverOfTheYearSojourn #SusquehannaRiver #NorthBranch

What a great turnout for the ribbon cutting event at the new Wyalusing Creekside Park! The Borough and Mayor Suky Burgess did an amazing job with this project, which also includes a disc golf course, a quarter-mile walking trail loop, a pavilion, benches, historical and wayfinding signage, and a kayak launch to the Susquehanna River North Branch Water Trail via Wyalusing Creek! The EMHR supported the project through a $10,000 Partnership/Mini-Grant last year and we`re proud to be among so many contributors who made this new outdoor recreation site possible!
A very well attended annual meeting for our friends at the @countryside_conservancy last night at @keystonecollege! Great work being done by Bill Kern, the Conservancy board and staff, and their many volunteers! Thanks for having us! #CountrysideConservancy #HeritagePartner #EMHR
The renovated façade of the @wyalusingmuseum sure looks beautiful! What a great scenic enhancement to Main Street in Wyalusing and a great place to learn about the history of the local area! #WyalusingValleyMuseum #EMHR #HistoricPreservation

Our first of two sold out Cemetery Preservation Workshops in Susquehanna County went exceptionally well! We had 13 county cemetery associations represented at today`s workshop and each participant received a full cleaning kit at the end of the day! These workshops are made possible through a Susquehanna County Marcellus Legacy Fund Mini Grant the EMHR received. A special thanks to our board member Brian Lione, Montrose High School teacher Hillori Schenker, and Bonnie Yuscavage of the Susquehanna County Historical Society for leading the workshop! Thank you to Vanessa Billings-Seiler as well for providing beautiful headstone examples for us to use! Great information!
We`d like to thank the Priesthood Restoration Site in Oakland Township, Susquehanna County, for being so hospitable to our EMHR Board of Directors yesterday during our bi-monthly meeting! Following our regular meeting, we were given a tour of the grounds by Elder Bruce Louthan who explained the fascinating history behind this Morman site, where Joseph Smith translated much of the Book of Morman in the home of his wife, Emma. Smith and Oliver Cowdery were also baptized here in the Susquehanna River. The site is open to tours and receives approximately 15,000 visitors annually!
We`d like to send out a special thank you to The Outdoor Insiders in New Milford, Susquehanna County for being a top-level sponsor for our Endless Mountains Outdoor Heritage Expo that will be held on Sept. 29 and 30, 2023! We continue to line up more vendors, programming, and activities for the event! Reach out to the EMHR or visit www.emheritage.org/events if you would like to be a vendor for this awesome event at the Wyoming County Fairgrounds!

Such a fantastic time in Toronto at the Ontario By Bike cycling tourism conference! Such a great networking opportunity for the EMHR and the Bradford County Tourism Promotion Agency! We`re so thrilled and grateful they reached out to us to have us speak about our Endless Mountains Gravel Bikepacking Loop (EMGBL)! Thank you to the 200+ cyclists, bike friendly businesses, and organizational leaders who listened to what we have going on the Endless Mountains! Also grateful for our other partners, Donna Iannone, the PA Endless Mountains, and Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission that helped develop the loop over the last two years! #EMHR #BCTPA #EMVB #NTRPDC #EMGBL
We`d like to thank the Canton Chamber of Commerce for having us at their meeting today to talk about our Endless Mountains Gravel Bikepacking Loop (EMGBL) through all four of our counties, which was created in partnership with the Bradford County Tourism Promotion Agency, Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau, and the Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission. Looking forward to seeing gravel cyclists out on the Loop this year! #EMGBL #EMHR #EMVB #BCTPA #NTRPDC #GravelBiking
This post is a little late, but the EMHR was happy to present a $500 check to the Bradford County Historical Society with funds that were raised during our Fall Heritage Benefit Paddle in October. Matt Carl, curator for the BCHS, gave a wonderful presentation about Bradford County following the 10-mile paddle along our beautiful Susquehanna River North Branch Water Trail. Thanks to Endless Mountain Outfitters for being such amazing guides on this annual river trip. This year`s fourth annual Fall Paddle will be held Oct. 7, 2023, so stay tuned for more details!
We`d like to thank the PA Organization for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR) for placing our beautiful North Branch Susquehanna River Water Trail in the final four candidates for the 2023 PA River of the Year. Now, it`s up to the public to vote! Cast your vote for the North Branch at the link below!

Thanks to our friends at Clifford Township for showing us around their beautiful community park yesterday and updating us on the many projects we`ve funded through our Partnership Grants program! A special thanks to the Rail-Trail Council for having us at their office to plan some 2023 events as well! Stay tuned!
We had a great day at the NEPA Trails Forum that was held at the Howland Preserve, now known as the Vosburg Neck State Park, in Wyoming County! We finished off our roundtable updates and discussion with a hike to the vista, which was absolutely beautiful! Thanks to the @friendsofhowlandpreserve and the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for hosting us and thanks to the Trails Forum committee for putting together another stellar meeting here in our region! #EMHR #HowlandPreserve #VosburgNeckStatePark
