Historic Tunkhannock Walking Tour with Destination Freedom and the Waverly Community House

The Endless Mountains Heritage Region has officially partnered with the Waverly Community House of Waverly, PA to bring its Destination Freedom: Underground Railroad Walking Tours to the counties of Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties.

This will be the first official walking tour in Wyoming County, as participants will embark on the Dietrich Theater’s Historic Tunkhannock Walking Tour with an added focus on the 19th century anti-slavery movement in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This collaborative walking tour is being held in partnership with the Waverly Community House’s Destination Freedom: Underground Railroad Walking Tour program. Participants should meet at the Dietrich Theater located at 60 East Tioga Street in Tunkhannock at 10 a.m. for the tour.
