Small Business Support Hikes: Father’s Day Weekend Hike in the Loyalsock State Forest

Bring dad along for a special Father’s Day weekend hiking event with the Endless Mountains Heritage Region. The EMHR’s Small Business Support Hike series continues with a scenic adventure in Sullivan County at the Loyalsock State Forest and World’s End State Park!
This two-day hike is scheduled for June 21 and 22. Participants should meet at 82 Cabin Bridge Road, Forksville, PA 18616 for sign in registration by 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21. If traveling from far, there is an option to stay at this campsite the evening before, courtesy of Loyalsock State Forest.
Hikers should wear appropriate clothing and footwear (hiking shoes or boots) and have a sufficient supply of water with them for the duration of both days. Overnight supplies are also needed to camp: a tent, sleeping bag, etc. Participants will be responsible for lunch on both days.
Dinner on Saturday evening (at approximately 5:30 p.m.) will be from the Forksville General Store (Big Mike’s Steaks and Hoagies). After returning from the hike on Saturday, participants can gather around the campfire and hear stories from Sullivan County Historical Society. Fun games will follow into the evening.
To support this small local business, we are asking for a $10 fee to cover the cost of dinner and camping for this event.
